The Bruckner University is one of five Austrian Universities for Music, Drama, and Dance, and one of four universities in Linz, The European Capital of Culture 2009. Eight hundred fifty students from all parts of the world study here. They are taught by two hundred professors and teaching staff who are internationally recognized artists, academics, and teachers.

Our design proposal follows the idea of highlighting the dialectic relationship between learning and performing arts. In response to this, the architects suggest to form a campus where the different functions are juxtaposing each other with monolithic volumes. The space in0between is a landscaped park for recreation that forms a cultural beacon for the city.
